How to Get Glowing Skin This Summer
Summer is in full force here in Australia, and here at BWB we are out flaunting our summer dresses and smallest bikinis possible.
It's all about that Body Positivity lady! BE COMFORTABLE IN YOUR OWN SKIN!
While you’re out there in the heat, we’d just like to remind you of some important tips to keep your skin glowing.
This season requires you to pay extra attention to your skin as the heat, warmth of the sun and hot winds can cause severe sun damage.
But do not fret beauties, there are remedies out there to help you stay healthy and glowing this summer. We have our top three right here:
1. DRINK ALL THE WATER.
We can’t stress this enough!
Not only are you massively dehydrated during the day from all the extra sweating, water flushes out the toxins and waste that accumulates in your body daily.
Treat yourself to as much as possible (coconut water is also excellent, full of electrolytes) and drink it cold or room temperature.
Studies have shown cold water rehydrates our bodies faster. Of course this is all a matter of preference, as long as you are drinking heaps of it.

2. DON’T LEAVE THE HOUSE WITHOUT SUNSCREEN
This is a big one.
Always apply sunscreen before you put your makeup on, head outside to do your daily routine.
Make this a priority.
Sunscreen prevents skin darkening, skin damage AND protects you from harsh UVA rays that leads to skin cancer.
Reapply every two hours, depending on your activity, and opt for waterproof protection.
There’s some excellent face sunscreens these days that won’t leave you feeling greasy before you put your makeup on.
3. GENTLY EXFOLIATE FOR THAT SHIMMERY SKIN
The first step to glowing, healthy skin is exfoliating.
You may or may not have a routine going for you already, and to that we applaud you!
But are you just exfoliating your face??
Do you know about dry brushing?
There are many scrubs and professional treatments out there, finding one that suits you can take some time.
Daily cleansing and moisturising is definitely needed to maintain healthy skin, yet this is the not-so-secret step a lot of women miss.
Regular exfoliation treatments can help rejuvenate skin, elasticity, collagen and removes dead skin cells from the surface. You want to look refreshed? Get those scrubs and dry brush out girl. You won’t be disappointed with the results.
